Website Description Where the Road Remembered Itself stands at the edge of two worlds — the ancient and the enduring. A lone figure pauses on a clifftop path, the crumbled stone wall beside them having long surrendered to time. Below and beyond, the land opens into a vast expanse of sea and sky, holding the last warmth of a fading sun at the horizon.
The road does not end here. It simply changes. What was built with intention has weathered into something wilder and more honest — and the figure who walks it carries that knowledge quietly, without grief.
There is a classical weight to this work. The aged canvas edges, the muted greens and ochres, the distant ruins half-swallowed by the earth — it feels recovered rather than created. As though it has always existed and was only recently found.
